1. Scope and Provider
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Leafblade web application ("Service"), operated by:

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
Leafblade is a web-based tool that converts Markdown text into PDF documents. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.
Anyone can convert, preview, and download PDF documents for free. Free exports include a small Leafblade watermark. Pro subscribers get watermark-free exports, additional themes, and full customization options.
3. Accounts
To subscribe to Pro, you must create an account using an email address or a third-party provider (Google, GitHub). Downloading free PDFs does not require an account. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate account information
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Pro Subscription and Payments
Leafblade Pro is a monthly subscription billed automatically via Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to:
- Recurring monthly charges at the price displayed at checkout
- Charges being processed by Stripe, Inc. as our payment provider
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price change takes effect.
5. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
As an EU consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. Since Leafblade Pro provides immediate access to digital content upon subscription, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The digital content is made available to you immediately after purchase
- You expressly consent to the immediate provision of the service
- You acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided
If you have not used the Pro features, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting contact@leafblade.dev.
Withdrawal Instructions (Widerrufsbelehrung)
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Lorenzo Melchior, Sonnenallee 141, 12059 Berlin, Germany, email: contact@leafblade.dev) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction.
Note regarding early provision of digital content: If you requested that the provision of the service begins during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract.

6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate documents containing illegal content
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to circumvent access controls or usage limits
- Overload or abuse the Service through automated requests
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code
7. Your Content
You retain full ownership of any content (Markdown text, images) you provide to the Service. We do not store your documents. Content is processed ephemerally to generate the PDF and is deleted immediately after conversion.
You are solely responsible for the content you convert. We do not review, monitor, or endorse user content.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
These limitations do not apply to damages caused by intent or gross negligence, or where mandatory law provides otherwise.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice within the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. For consumers within the EU, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply in addition.
The exclusive place of jurisdiction for disputes is Berlin, Germany, to the extent permitted by law.
